Boris Bentsianov, MD, FAAO

Dr Bentsianov Graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical School as a member of AOA honor society and with distinction in Research in 1997. He then graduated from the Downstate Otolaryngology Program and then completed his fellowship in Laryngology/Neurolaryngology at Columbia University in 2003. Dr. Bentsianov then successfully earned his Board degree in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastics and Reconstructive surgery and joined as a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology. Dr. Bentsianov is now an Asst. Professor of Otolaryngology at SUNY Downstate and the Director of division of Laryngology at SUNY/LICH and the Brooklyn VA hospital. Dr. Bentsianov continues his teaching of medical students and residents, as well as his commitment to his private office patients.


Gabby Khidoyatov, RN – Clinical Director

Gabby Khodoyatov graduated from Tashkent Medical School with an MD degree in 1996. After working in Russia as a Pediatric physician for 7 years she immigrated to the USA in 2004. Gabby began working in our office shortly thereafter as a Nurse aid while pursuing her nursing Degree at Columbia University. She completed her Nursing Degree in 2006 and was promoted to Director of Clinical Services functioning as a liaison for patients in coordinating the navigating patients through their clinical care. She is fluent in Russian, Uzbek, and English and is uniformly praised by our patients for her attention to detail and tireless efforts in ensuring completion of their course of therapy.



Yuliya Cherlenyuk RPA-C

Yuliya Cherlenyuk, RPA-C has successfully graduated Brooklyn College with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Nutrition sciences as a member of Summa Cum Laude Honor Society in 2012. She subsequently graduated from the SUNY Downstate Medical Center Physician Assistant program with honors, successfully earning her board certification as a Physician Assistant in New York State. She is an active member of American Academy of Physician Assistants and is certified in BLS, ACLS and PALS. She has since practiced as a General Surgery Physician Assistant at Staten Island University Hospital prior to joining Otolaryngology specialty. She brings her clinical and surgical expertise along with her vast medical knowledge to provide an outstanding care to her patients.


Maria Chan, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Maria Chan earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Brooklyn College. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Audiology Degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Dr. Chan gained her clinical experience through rotations at Duke Raleigh University Hospital, Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC, Greenville VA Medical Center, and Carolina East ENT. She has gained experience in all areas of audiology including audiological testing of both pediatric and adult patients, hearing aid evaluations and fittings, Auditory Brainstem Response testing (ABR), Videonystagmography (VNG) testing, counseling and aural rehabilitation. Throughout her clinical experiences, Dr. Chan has worked with all age groups, including infants, children, adults, and the special needs population. She completed her audiological residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center/Liberty Hearing Centers. Dr. Chan is a New York State licensed Audiologist and has earner her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Chan is fluent in English, Polish, and is learning Russian.
